You cannot imagine how excited I became upon learning that the 9th book in the Saxon Series was to be released on the same weekend that The Last Kingdom made its debut. I have been reading your novels for nearly two years now and have enjoyed each story immensely. Mostly, I look forward to reading your work to offset the dullness of law school casebooks, though I have appreciated and benefited from the incidental education in British history. Americans tend to forget that England existed before the colonial era.

I have a few questions:

1) How closely does the Last Kingdom television series reflect the world you imagined? I am especially curious if the Bebbanburg fortress is accurately presented.

1) Do you find it more or less enjoyable to write about periods where historical records are sparse?

2) Have you considered writing about Roman-occupied England?

3) Do you have any book signings planned in the US?
