Dear Mr. Cornwell,

I came to your Uhtred books via a library. I read the first and i was on my knees: GREAT, Powerful and intresting. The second part i did listen to the audiobook in German. Gerd Anderson is AWESOME. The best voice i ever listen to.

I did read all Utred parts and and listen to ALL audio Utreds. Then i saw in news Last Kingdom will comes up in TV and i was on fire like i was as kid for christmas. I saw  the pic of the actor and said to my self: oki, small guy, not blond, not hard looking, not brutal looking, not tall and not like you described him. Then i saw all 8 episodes.

I dont know how you came to the deal, what restrictions they gave you and why the story had a wrong chronological progress, a blending of the constellation of the persons and how they act and met each other. Utred did not meet the dauhgter of Alfred and why there was no Steapa, no Utred on ships etc etc. … It all might have reasons and i do not blame you at all for all this very big disappointment. If i would have the money and the knowledge i do swear i would have did it like the books had been written and  i would have searched endless for the right characters/actors etc etc.

I thought Sparactcus TV Series is not topable, yours could be the best the world ever had seen but the 3 spinners did have other plans. They did a poor series of it, with good actors in wrong contents, the missed tons of details like Serpent-Breath or Ragnars real behave.

I hope you are not disappointed like me and i hope for part 9 of Uhtred. I start now to read now your other books and i will have some bright days and some comfortable nights.
