Hi Bernard, I am currently reading your latest novel, “The Fort”. On page 122 (UK edition) the following sentence reads “….’that Sir Walter Rayleigh played bowls as the Armada approached.’…..” Is this a mistake on the character’s part mistaking Sir Walter Rayleigh for Sir Francis Drake or an inadvertent slip? I only ask as it just “leapt out” at me immediately as I was reading the passage. I am, once again, enthralled by your literary skill in depicting historical events so vividly in this latest story.
