Dear Bernard,
I’m a great fan of your works and have almost every book you wrote (I think). I recently started the Hornblower series which, to my pleasant surprise, have an introduction from you.
I must say however, I was a bit dismayed that in Hornblower and the Crisis (the 4th book in Chronological order) you mention that a certain person will die in a later book(10th Chronologically). Was that a choice or a mistake because the book was written much later then Hornblower and the Crisis?
Anyway, got the last installment of the Saxon Chronicles so I have some reading to do these summer months :-).
Kind regards,
Mark Renders
