Hello Mr Cornwell,

I have just completed the Warlord Chronicles and LOVED them!

As I often do, after reading something, I tend to look into/research the period. Obviously the Dark Ages is a very uncertain period – there being many different sources “recording” the period. So my question is how did you decide what to include and what to not? For example you have Mark as King of Cornwall throughout the novel, though other sources claim Cado as King of Kernow and Dumnonia, while others then agree that it was Mark. Is it a slight case of picking and choosing?

Also, as for Arthur – I have tried to, but cannot workout how old he is by the end of the book. From what I have looked into I have found “dates” saying Arthur was born around 465AD and died 542AD. This has Arthur dying at the age of 77 – is that not rather ancient for a man living in the dark ages? How old is your Arthur?

Thank you for both your time and your novels!
