Firstly, it is with deep humility and eternal gratitude that I say thank you. from the deepest part of my newly renewed soul thank you. The Sharpe novels have given me a new deep sense of self after years in a toxic marriage marred by tragedy. after leaving my ex wife i discovered the Sharpe novels (on Audio book) and they gave me a renewed sense of self and some very wise words to live by. The books gave me a love for the Napoleonic/Georgian era which removed a sense of something missing from my life.

WATERLOO; The History of Four Days, Three Armies and Three Battles was a fascinating listen, It gave me a feel for the average soldier at that time (a way I feel a lot might I add).the work stuck in my head, but the quote about two types of leaders seems to have stuck wrong so may I ask what the correct wording was –  my remembrance is that there were 2 types of officers the off we go and the off you go but since my memory is still in recovery I humbly ask for clarification from the greatest  author of my time.

once more thank you for everything your works have done in my life and I look forward to listening to “The Gallows Thief” when I am able to find it on audiobook.
