Forgive me, but I thought the Sharpe novels were written by some old man long gone.  I discovered them long after Sean Bean had died in the Lord of the Rings series.  Once I got into the TV series, I discovered the Sharpe novels.  And now…here I go again with The Last Kingdom.  So…are you really old or did you start Sharpe when you were very young?  Cheers.  Hope you’re basking in the popularity of The Last Kingdom.
