Mr. Cornwell,

I am writing because I’m taking my son to London and Paris in August and I’d love to spend a few days walking the streets Sharpe would have walked, and to tour any British (and French) Military facilities or museums open to the public that  would have more artifacts from that era.  I hope you don’t mind making a few suggestions.

My father introduced me to Sharpe’s Rifles in the early nineties and I became hooked on the series.  (I also enjoyed the Starbuck books.)  Dad passed away 3 years ago but this was a strong bond we shared and talked about often.  I introduced my son to the series about 6 years ago when he started high school – and he loves the books.

In addition, my Dad told me there was a coin bank from the Tippoo Sultan (he thought in the British Museum) showing a tiger attacking a redcoat.  I looked all over the British Museum last time in London and I failed to find it.  Do you know what he was talking about?

Thanks again for your time, and your excellent series.

Best regards,
