Dear Mr. Cornwell,

I have recently became a fan of your books.  Of course, I’ve started reading them because I could not wait for the series of The Last Kingdom to return to production.  So I’ve read them all and beginning the Grail Quest.  Thank you for leaving hopeful hints in the last lines of your historical notes, regarding Utred, even though he’s home now, his destiny is not complete.

I admittedly giggled when a character with the same name as mine was mentioned. (even the “bad”ones).  I didn’t realize that it was a popular Anglo/Frisian name.  Of course, my family originally claim it was spelled Ostwald…

How long does it normally take for you to write a full book?

I am fan of another writer and she writes very long stories and sometimes it’s years between them.
