I’ve just read the earlier question and think I may have at least a bit of an answer. Three cheers and a tiger was more of a naval tradition, and in the days of fighting sail was given by ships companies to popular officers when something happened to them (such as promotion out of the ship). I have seen it in books written by authors of naval historical novels.
My question: I have ALL your books, and wonder if you have any intention of again writing something set in the modern era, perhaps along the lines of Sea Lord, Crackdown or Wildtrack?
