Sir

your literary works single-handedly decided my choice in choosing history as a major. I became obsessed with your take on King Arthur, and more so with the “Viking invasion”. I remember vividly when the the Last Kingdom became a TV show I told everyone I saw. You have been my inspiration sir and your work has compelled me to continue my studies in history. The first book of yours I picked up was about a young Archer in the hundred year war and I never looked back. The way you write realistically in your novels changed my life. Now decades later I am a non-comissioned officer of the US army and all I want to do and have done is travel the world, see the history of where I’ve been or going and write it down. But every piece of history I read I know there is more life than just words in a book and you have showed me that. So thank you.

John

Ps. I saw on a book cover you’re from Chatham. Is that England or US bc I know a great beach spot if that’s on the Yankee side
