Dear Mr Cornwell

I am a long time fan. I’m currently loving the Uthred books and rereading the Sharpe books. You have also inspired me to read other works of historical fiction and fact so I thank you you for opening my eyes to such a wonderful world.

One book I’ve enjoyed is the Antiquary by Walter Scott so let me ask you…. Saunders Mucklebackit. A smuggler, a working class hero and someone who doesn’t have much time for antiquarians. Now that does have a wonderful sense of irony to it. Is he the father?

I look forward to any future books you care to create and thank you again for the ones you already have.

Kindest regards

Edward Taberner
