Hi Bernard,
If ‘Sharpe’s Eagle’ hadn’t been accepted back in the day, would you have attempted self-publishing? I’m also wondering if you have any advice regarding the subject?
By the way, I’m glad ‘Sharpe’s Eagle’ was published which was the beginning of a fantastic adventure series! I’m enjoying ‘Fools and Mortals’ and found the idea of a furry mascot – Pickles the cat – a rather cute touch. But does the Monomoy Theatre have a similar mascot, and do the actors/actresses have superstitious habits? I must confess to not being a fan of Shakespeare as I find the style difficult to follow, my lacking in ability, my loss. However, I do enjoy certain scenes and quotes from choice films such as ‘The Outlaw Josey Wales’ (Clint Eastwood being one of my favourite actors). For example, when asked by his young friend if they should bury two men who had attempted to capture Wales for the bounty, he replies: “Buzzards gotta eat, same as worms!”
