Hi again,

Firstly……we have ascertained that Sharpe’s father is French and a fictional/legendary smuggler/pirate ….now my question….the 8 letter clue! Was that referring to the word ‘smuggler’ in the original “Take me out……” clue, or the actual fathers surname (full name)? It would certainly clear up some ambiguity?

Secondly, could you please give Sharpe enthusiasts a clue as to where new additions to his story will fit in with the current writings……

Thanks as ever

Danny

Having just finished Sharpes Waterloo for what is probably the hundreth time. I have always wondered how many of Sharpes original riflemen fought and hopefully survived the battle. Hagman was there yet there was never a mention of the others and I would hope he wasnt the sole Greenjacket within the company or even decided to don a redcoat?! I know its Sharpes story and the end of the day, it would be interesting and add closure to some of the unnamed characters who were with Sharpe till the end. As you can imagine Im a huge sharpe (and uthred) fan and it would be great to see new Sharpe material.

Thanks in advance

Matt

Is there another Sharpe book coming?  It seems like we need one just before Sharpe’s Rifles..  I’ve read the entire series.
