Hi, Bernard.
Hope the subject isn’t unfriendly. I’m a huge fan of you and your books. I’ve read dozens of then and I am currently finishing the Sharpe’s series. Read all the saxon chronicles, the Archer, the prisoner, Agincourt, Waterloo and mostly ALL of the Sharpe’s books. I actually read about anything I can find on historic fiction (Christian Jacq, Ken Follet, Con Iggulden – you’re my favorite thought) mostly because I think it’s great and fun way of learning some History.
As a Brazilian, I’m very curious about the Paraguayan War (or War of the Triple Alliance), between Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay, on one side, and Paraguay on the other. So it crossed my mind to ask if it ever crossed yours about writing something about it haha. If It had, I’d gladly help you in anything possible in your stay in Brazil and contacts with Brazilian authors.
Just wanna say thank you for giving me the oportunity to learn so much in such a fun way. Because of you, me and my wife went to the Buçaco Palace Hotel in Central Portugal for our honeymoon and saw a lot about the classic clash between English longbowmen and French cavalry in the site of the Aljubarrota Battle.
A big hug from Brazil. Sorry for the bad English!
Cheers!
