Hello Mr Cornwell,
I don’t write to authors as I don’t feel it’s right to bother them, but I’ve read quite a few of your books, many a few times ( Sharpe and Uhtred especially). So this is a big thank you, whenever I need a ripping adventure I can be sure to get it from one of your books.
I’m currently re reading Sharpe’s Enemy, I’m at the point where Hakeswill is escaping the dungeon (you’ve no doubt forgotten the details) and I’m utterly flabbergasted that Sharpe (or Harper) hasn’t already killed him! I vaguely remember what’s coming and I already feel sad… but isn’t that what good stories do, take us along for a ride and make us feel something? Pain and joy…
So thank you again for all the great stories over the many years
All the best
Tony Kelly
