Thanks for writing. I just finished “War of the Wolf,” and am now up to date on the Last Kingdom series. Other favorites are The Arthur series (enjoy your take on Lancelot and more) and “Fools and Mortals” was delightful!

Sharing my hopefully humorous vision of the aging Uhtred the Elder.

Uhtred is sitting by the fire, his hand on the hilt of his sword. He’s wearing grey sweat pants, with a purple Minnesota Vikings sweat shirt, a bit worn. A heavy fur cape drapes over his shoulders, and his horned helmet is slightly askew.
