I know you have been asked this a million + times, but as we are both about the same age I wonder if I will get to read a new Sharpe before our time expires. :) It looks like it has been, what, 12 years since the last one.  My wife gave me Sharpe’s Story for Christmas (turns out I already had a copy) but upon re reading the part about your adoptive parents and where you mention that some work out and some don’t, I am grateful that I was a lucky one and my adoptive parents were the best,  Happy New Year
