I’m not your traditional demographic but I fell in love with Uhtred via Netflix and was thrilled to learn there were books to read. What prompted me to write this thank you note is the scene between Finan and Conall in book 9. Absolutely amazing. I can see it in my mind’s eye and it’s a powerful powerful image. There’s an grace in the way Finan emasculates his brother and to watch it like one of the warriors present was a gift. Thank you and I’m off to the battle:-)
