Hi Mr. Cornwell,
I just wanted to let you know that I have spent several hours traveling in my car listening to your books. Often I looked forward to heading to work to find out what would happen next! I started after watching Uhtred on the big screen and wondering what the books were like and haven’t looked back since. As with any good book, you allow us to reflect on our own lives through the lens of your characters. You also bring us so many of the details of a scene that do not come with even a reasonably good education in history (that I like to think I had at one time).
I also when you mentioned Thomas of Hookton in Agincourt. It made me think about how the unwritten part of Thomas’ life might have been. I’m listening to Nate Starbuck now as he works his way through the chaos of the US Civil War and enjoying it thoroughly. I do wish book 3 of the Sharp series were available on Audible, as I have to read that one when I decide to take a run through Sharp’s exploits. Hakeswill was the only character I wish would have run his course a bit sooner because he was hard to believe after a few missed deaths. All in all though, I have thoroughly enjoyed your work immensely and hope you never stop! Calix meus inebrians.
