Dear Mr Cornwell,

I am a huge fan of your books having read them all several times and I always look forward keenly to the next new one.

Your excellent characterisation and plots make the books so immersive and enjoyable but most of all I love the way your stories, although fiction, bring history to life.

With this in mind I hope you might at some time turn your historical attention to the age of pirates…either the villains such as Edward Teach et al or the semi good guys like Drake.

I’m sure their is a rich historical vault to be mined in this area and hope you might give it some thought.

In any event, my thanks for all the hours of reading pleasure  you have given me.

Yours

Dave Lamb (Fife, Scotland)
