After binge-watching The Last Kingdom on Netflix, I am very much looking forward to reading your books on which the series is based. My dad has always had a keen interest in genealogy and has traced our lineage back to early English royalty. After watching the series, I was very interested to find out if my dad knew anything of our ancestry during this time period. Turns out, King Alfred is an ancestor and I just read that you are a descendent of Uhtred the Bold. How interesting! Just wanted to thank you for this most entertaining series that has piqued my own interest in genealogy. Now I can look at my dad’s pages of research with more interest and understanding of the time period.
