Dear Mr Cornwell,
firstly I’d like to thank you for your wonderful work. I’ve just started reading your books and cannot stop. Sharpe was my first introduction to your stories as a child, more recently I’ve read the Warlord chronicles and the adventures of Thomas from Hookton. My question is, what is it about an Irish character (that I’m so fond of, being from Belfast myself) that keeps you inventing them?
