I wondered what you thought of the Jacobite Rebellions and whether you’d ever been tempted by them. Do you think if Charles Stuart had carried on at Derby rather than retreating he could’ve won the British Throne?

Regards the British defeat at the Battle of Fontenoy. Is it true they asked if the French would like to fire first?  That seems madness
