I loved watching the Last Kingdom series and over the last few years I have been researching my family tree. I am originally from Belfast and now live in Australia. Some of my great grandparents are English and I followed my great great grandmothers ancestry from the Caile family to Lancelot Salkeld in Cumbria to a Margaret Neville who married Sir Richard Huddleston. I left the tree there for a while until my DNA matched some of King Richard III’s and I researched that the Neville family were the King makers! I was elated to find that the Neville tree ran back to Uchtred and Aelfgifu. My DNA seems to be high in Celtic Briton and Dane with some Saxon very little Irish. I see that you are also related to them. Have you taken a DNA test that I may check against my results ? I look forward to hearing from you.
