I ordered a signed copy of War Lord from Waterstones in the UK way back when. I;m still waiting for it to arrive via my brother, but it’s on it’s way. A large format paperback is now available in Canada. I was sorely tempted to purchase, but decided to wait, as I am almost at the end of re-reading his saga again.Just started Flame Bearer. So I just might get through them just as the last one arrives.

 

I’ve just watched the Last Kingdom version of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’ on Facebook

with all the main characters reciting a few lines each. It’s very funny. It got me thinking perhaps you could write a short story for Uthred set at Christmas, I don’t know quite how War Lord finishes of course so this may not be possible. But it might be nice to read about them all just sitting around a big roaring fire, supping his favourite ale with his family, Finan & co., just living a simple life. now at peace, with no big battles to fight?
