Good evening Mr Cornwell,
I think that I have read most if not all of your books and had always hoped that a character would appear, good or bad, who possessed my family name.
Alas this has not yet come to pass however, I was pleasantly surprised to see the Town of Ham being the focus of the opening chapters of Sharpe’s Assassin. So in my fanciful imagination I will take this as a loose association with the Ham family, thank you.
If you would like to use my family name for a character in a future book I would have no objections.
Thank you for the many hours of enjoyment that I have experienced reading your books, I look forward to the next one.
I appreciate all the hard work and research you undertake and the way that your writing draws the reader into the pages of the book almost like a virtual reality experience.
Best wishes for the future.
