I’d like to thank you for all the books that you have written in this series. Years ago I bought the first book in a charity shop. I love historical novels but the period of Uhtred was new to me but I decided to give it a go and I was hooked. You opened up a whole new era for me. Since then I’ve read every Uthred book and am on the last one now. I’ve also read the archer books and 1356 Crecy. I went so far as to download a great deal of the Anglo Saxon Chronicles!  So you see you have given me hours of enjoyment. I love history so I will always choose a period fiction to any modern day and you bring the Saxon age to life for me. Next to Dorothy Dunnet you are my most read author. Again thank you very much for being a good storyteller and wordsmith.
