Hello Mr Cornwell – let me begin by telling you how much I have enjoyed Richard Sharpe, firstly through the TV Series and now by reading the books. I’m unsure which should have been first, because of the differences in scripts, but they both have their merits and are both thoroughly enjoyable. I have now only the last four of your books to buy and read and will then have to wait with bated breath to see if any more are to follow. I took the plunge recently and bought “Redcoat” which I have just finished, and, to me, this is a book that cries out for a sequel!! What happened to Sam and Caroline? Did Sam join the Rebels and fight against his King? Did they achieve their dream and attain their stretch of paradise where they could farm and raise horses? Were there any problems with the Indians? Oh there is a wealth of fertile ground here to be explored and developed, in my humble opinion. What say you? Kind regards Ray van Rensburg PS Have just invested in “Rebel” and “Copperhead” – guess that must be close to identifying me as a fan? R
