Dear Mr Cornwell,
I wanted to reach out and thank you for the adventures of Sharpe. I first discovered the series reading Sharpes Eagle on sleepovers at my grandmother’s as a young teen. I would borrow a book for the night and find myself up for hours exploring the sights alongside Sharpe on his ventures. I have now inherited these books and they hold fond memories, often listening to the audio books or rereading my own collection now in my late 20s.
I was saddened to hear the news of your editor and send my commiserations. I hope to meet you at a future signing or event, will be sure to keep an eye out. Looking forward to the next installment and no need to apologise for the delay, life sends its challenges, and we can wait.
Thanks again for the memories you helped establish and the passion for reading you spurred. Wish you the best, with a positive end to the year.
