Dear Mr Cornwell,
It has been a strong desire of mine to reach out to you and express my gratitude in the many books that you have written.
In particular the Sharpe series which I adore reading. Sharpe and Harpers enduring journey has been a source of comfort too me, either when I’m commuting or during my work breaks or simply for pure pleasure.
The wondrous way Mr Cornwell you research battles and express the napelonic years is incredible. I can picture the scenarios and the vibrant characters through your excellent penmanship.
Obadiah Hawkeswill as the recurring “villian” of sorts was excellently written.
I recently took a trip to Japan and brought along one of your books. It was a great comfort, as I was travelling alone.
One note I’d love too mention, is I’m so happy that in sharpes trafalgar – Nelson and Sharpe met.
Nelson is a personal hero of mine, who I’ve also researched and read many books on.
Too think such a man existed and what incredible feats.
Thank you Mr Cornwell for your Sharpe books.
I’ve not come to the end yet. I’ve just finished sharpes regiment (my 16th Sharpe book read now).
They are a pleasure and I will always treasure them and the talent that you have in writing them. Your pen has made a large part of my life enjoyable and content.
Thank you Mr Cornwell and I hope you had a nice Christmas and a good new year too you and your wife Judy. I had read on your website page that 2024 was a tough year, I’m sorry.
Wishing you the very best.
Warm regards, a fan
