Dear Mr Cornwell,
I am writing to you from Italy just to say THANK YOU for the wonderful hours you gave me reading The Saxon Stories.
I am passionate about British history, culture and literature, being the daughter of two English teachers. Thank you because I learned so much about a period of your history that I knew very little about and and I am deeply grateful to you for that!
Yesterday, when I read the last lines of War Lord, I experienced a feeling that I rarely get: the desire, alas impossible, to read all the novels of the series again, as if for the first time.
Before saying goodbye, I apologise if my English is not as good as I would like it to be. It is a little embarrassing given the calibre of my interlocutor, but I am sure I can count on your indulgence.
With love and respect,
Silvia
