Hi Bernard, I am an avid reader of all of your books and I usually buy them ad-hock as and when I see them in bookshops etc and sometimes I find that I have ended up buying a book that I have already read, that is not a problem because I usually pass these duplicates on to others who then get hooked on your books. I have now made a list of the books I have read so that this duplication does not happen again. I have quite a few of the Sharpe series and I read them as and when I get them. I am in the process of trying to get the full Sharpe series and once I do I would like to read them from start to finish, I notice on your web page that you have written the books as per the battles and not in the order that you wrote them, my question is, once I have the full set (which may take some time as I can only afford to buy a few books at a time), would it be advisable to read them in the order that you have put them on your website or in the year that you wrote them as this would, I presume give me a batter insight into Sharpe’s life from the orphanage onwards, or can you suggest the best order in which to read them. Thankyou for allowing me to take up some of your precious time and look forward to hearing from you. Kind regards Albert Lingard P.S. I was also born in London (Bow in the east end) and now live in Essex.
