Just introduced to your great character, Sharpe, through the PBS showing of Sharpe’s Challenge. I am now seeking your books. One question about the massacre at Chasalgaon. Is this based on an event in Indian/British history? Googling Chasalgaon brings up only Sharpe references, and Dodd’s true history doesn’t indicate that he had any connection to such a place.
