In an interview about Sharpe TV series, you were asked if readers often took you to task for historical details they consider wrong. You responded about someone saying there were no snowdrops in Arthurian England. How does anyone know that there weren’t any? Maybe they were not called snowdrops, but had another name? I am an avid reader of historical fiction and find the most enjoyable stories come from authors in Gt. Britain. Do you find that odd on my part or do the authors have easier access to reference books on English history? Could you list on your web site some of the authors you most admire? Do you believe the idea that everyone has a book somewhere hidden within themselves, and that to aspiring authors should “write about what you know?” I wish I had more time to read and could read more books in less time than it takes me. I keep on buying books before I finish the extremely large stacks I have accumulated over the past 6-8 years. The great authors just have too many stories to tell and I’m not able to keep up with them, although I do try! Keep writing! Mikki Mc Aninch
