Hello Mr. Cornwell, I am attempting to research Sir William Eyricke who was an attendant to the Black Prince at Gascony. His brother, Robert Eyricke, was The Black Prince’s chaplain and was later named Bishop of Lichfield although the church and pope were not happy about allowing an illiterate man become a bishop (although it did happen.) Can you suggest resources that might help me learn more about the Black Prince, his battles, his attendants, etc.? Eyricke, as DNA studies have born out, is Viking and the family supposedly descended from around the 900s. Needless to say, I love the Saxon stories and all your books. Thank you!
