In Sharpe’s Trafalgar (A wonderful change from India)it says the Nelson’s body was thrown over-board “The corpse was brought to the quarterdeck and, in the deepening dusk, thrown into the sea”, I had the understanding that Nelson’s body was put in brandy until the Victory reached England. I’m just wondering which case is true. Could you reply with your answer and how you research things (always wondered how you know so many things like powder measurements for cannonades etc) Dave Jones
