Dear Mr Cornwell I absolutely love Sharpe – films and books!! I can’t remember off the top of my head which book (I think it was Battle), but You did dedicated a book to Sean Bean. Was this you recognising the films were good for Bernard Cornwell in adding to what must’ve been an already fantastic reputation as a writer?

Also Sharpe and believe it or not, Harry Potter to me have something in common. I love the films and books to both, but I think it’s because in both cases it’s because I watched the films 1st, I think if it was the other way round I may not have loved the films so much……..does that make any sense to you and have there been any cases in your time when you could possibly relate?
