Dear Mr. Cornwell, I have read and really enjoyed a few of your books (I just discovered them last summer,) but I particularly love your Warlord Chronicles. I always found the romantic Arthur boring – an old man sitting at a table, round or otherwise, sending out knights on errands and getting cuckolded – but yours is so full-blooded and complex, I wish he existed the way you imagined him (let alone Derfel, Guinevere, and the rest.) I have recommended the books to many people by now, and was jumping for joy to read that the audiobooks will be released on CD soon, and my husband will now be able to enjoy them as well. I do hope they will be unabridged versions! I have seen there are questions about turning them into movies and, while that would be great, has your agent taken them to HBO yet????? (NOT Starz, their Spartacus is terrible!) Those of us who loved HBO’s Rome have been waiting for their next great historical series, and I can’t imagine a better one than this. So Rome cost too much for them to produce? This one would be a miniseries, since it has a definite ending, and the Roman buildings would not have to look so brand spanking new, and so it would be cheaper (right?) Seriously, has that ever been considered? Look at me, I should just buy a copy of the game “Movie Tycoon” and shut up… And in case this is too much like the “don’t send me story ideas” thing, I hereby waive my rights to claim any ownership of this pipe dream I am sending you :-) Just as long as it gets made as well as it deserves to be made some day! Sincerely, Sofia Reverte
