Dear Mr. Cornwell, Let me say first of all that you are the only writer I can read and read and read and not become annoyed at your style. Your books are great, and I look forward to many more in the future. I had a question for you. Of the Warlord Chronicles, I’ve only read Enemy of God, but I found all the pagan stuff very interesting. I was wondering if you knew of any good sources I could use if I wanted to learn more about the religious beliefs of the old Britons. Just to exemplify, every time Derfel spits to “avert evil” or makes “the sign against evil,” I think, “Gee, what’s going on here?”–and then I think about how great it would be if I were wizard. But that’s another story. If there are any books or resources that you used to write the books and that you think would be useful, I would greatly appreciate the suggestions! Thank you for your help and your excellent stories. Cheers, Ben Godby
