Dear Mr. Cornwell first of all thank you for your many great books! I’ve read all of the Sharpe series three times, except for Company, Honour, Enemy, Siege and Waterloo which I have read four times (Incidentally the Sharpe books lead me to find my favourite TV show which lead me to find my favourite actor (Sean Bean)). I’ve also read Winter King (struggling to find the next two) and the Saxon series and thoroughly enjoyed them! I apologise but I had never heard of the Starbuck Chronicles until recently and after reading comments on this site they sound like damn good books. Anyway my question is, have you ever thought to writing one book or a few Sharpe books set after the battle of Waterloo? Maybe in between Sharpe’s Waterloo and Devil (I think there’s a five year gap) or maybe even after Devil?
I’ve heard that the TV series want to make one last film reuniting Sharpe and Antonia, have you thought of doing this? If so would Lucile still being alive affect this? on the subject of Lucile what were your thoughts when she was killed off in the TV series? Did they need your permission to do this? I apologise for the volume I have written, I got carried away! Thanks again for the books, keep writing best of luck for 2010. P.S. Please don’t write a series of books on the War of the Roses lol I’m planning my first book and it is to be the first in a series about the War of the Roses. Thanks
