The Sharpe TV series got me started on the Sharpe novels and have read The Starbuck Chronicles. I have wondered as someone living in the USA if your criticized for having your main character -Starbuck- fight for the South instead of the North?

Lastly, I have a son (21) in Canadian army infantry reserves -Seafoth Highlanders of Canada– and he was never a strong reader in fact it was like pulling teeth to get him to read.
