Hello Mr. Cornwell I’ve become a great fan of your books.Currently finishing “The Winter King”.Your imagination astounds me. I have two questions. What did you think of the recent hoard found in Britain of gold sword hilts and other items dating from around 800 A.D. they believe? I immediately thought of your books where warriors strip the defeated of their valuables and the bury the items for safekeeping.
Second question. Being from Newfoundland I’ve always found the evidence of a Norse(Viking)settlement in a place called Lanse Aux Meadows to be fascinating. They didn’t stay long, maybe 40 years. Have you ever visited this area? It’s a beautiful part of North America and the people are wonderful. Lanse Aux Meadows is a barren windswept place and it makes you wonder why the Norse didn’t venture further south. Anyway..enjoying your works.Take care. Douglas Mason Vancouver B.C. Canada
