Hi, I just have a question about a gun I found. I work for a skip company and found in one of the skips a brass handled sword and a double barrelled gun, the thing is it’s not a flint lock but it is not bullets or shells. I was just wondering if you had come across anything like this? It looks similar to a flint but does not have the bit you put the powder on, pan is it? I looked on the net but can only find flint locks. I would love to know what era this would be. My dad reckons civil war( British ) but I think it’s a bit later than that.
