Hi Bernard, hope all is well with you. As you often profess to abstain from reading historical fiction (understandable), I was wondering what non-historical fiction novels are among your all-time favourites? And, on the subject of gratuitously pointless questions, if you could have written one novel done by another author – any era, any genre – which would it have been? (For the record, mine’s a toss-up between Love in the Time of Cholera and The Great Gatsby.) Thanks as always for taking the time
