Hello Mr. C, Having exhausted The Sharpe books, the Starbuck Chronicles and some others, I am reading A Crowning Mercy. The siege of Lazen Castle is so detailed it appears to be based on a particular non-fictional castle or battle. If so which one? it would be nice if I could bring up a map or photo on-line to examine while I read. I have been doing this with the London “Scenes” using on-line period maps of London & ‘Google Maps’. Love the Sharp sharp series – come to think of it everything I have read of yours is that a great read and generally educational. Ted Sherwood
Sir, Having read Fallen Angels, I wanted to read all your books. Now I am reading Sharpe’s Triumph. Where is this Lazen? Is it in England? what is its location? Auxigny is in Paris. Are these two fictitious? or real places which exit even today? Please let me know. D.S.Murty
