Hi, again, Mr. Cornwell. Concerning Anglo Saxon history in the 8th century and forward: Can you recommend a book or two that covers that period in history? I am most interested in that period. I would like to find a non-fiction book(s) that details historical events but also explains the life of the people….How they lived and survived day-to-day.

Secondly, is there a book you would recommend that chronicles the use of (any/all)weaponry during that historical period? There are so many out there when one does a google or bookseller search, and I will pick some on my own for sure, but I would really like to know if you had one or two that really stand out for you? You might have answered this question before but I cannot find it using the site search tool. Many thanks, as always. Side-note: I just re-read the Warlord Chronicles and enjoyed them even more than the first time! I caught so much detail this second go-round that I had not paid close-enough attention to during the first. Simply magnificent work. I’ve read many stories revolving around Arthur, but yours is the absolute best. Sincerely, Shawson Hebert
