Dear Mr Cornwell, Firstly thankyou, thankyou, thankyou for all your wonderful books especially The Arthur trilogy,I read them three times straight off and hunted down some 1st editions (in hardback of course) I had booked to see you at the Civic Theatre,Chelmsford a couple of years back but my job (Met Police) prevented me from turning up.Being a HUGE Arthurian fan,I was to ask you two things. 1) The only thing in your Arthur trilogy that “upset” me was the comment “But Arthur never went to Kernow” being a HUGE Cornwall fan as well as a HUGE CornWELL fan I wondered why you added that.

2) Surely the books would make a fantastic trilogy of films i.e. In the Lord of the Rings style and made by perhaps Ridley Scott in his Gladiator and more recently Robin Hood frame of mind. I’m sure you agree, Arthur is the greatest Hero these Islands have ever had (whatever the truth)and the way you wrote and researched him I believe could make the first far more accurate and fantastic film ever,as there hasn’t been one made of that calibre to date… What are your thoughts?? Johnny Smith Essex (and sometimes Kernow!)
