Dear Sir, I’m a fan of yours, and have read the Sharpe Books (on CD), and am now listening to the Saxon Stories (on itunes). You are the savior to me, and have made more pleasurable the arduous journeys between Florida and Tennessee, when I had to travel for work. So my question is… How did groups of warriors… Danish, Saxon, or whatever country they may be from determine which side was friendly and which side was the enemy? I know you do describe some friendly kill situations, but I was wondering based on your research if you could comment. Thank You – Ian
