Dear Mr Cornwell, Just to say thank you for writing the Sharpe books. I have enjoyed them hugely. The TV series is good but as you and people have mentioned elsewhere, they do not follow exactly the chronology in the books. I much more enjoyed reading the books in chronology and so got the flow of Sharpe’s career. However, as they say all good things must come to an end, I don’t want to believe that. I feel that the broken relationship with Sweet William has to be restored. Couldn’t you devise some way for Sharpe and Harper to get over to Canada and support Sweet William in some endeavour of his – perhaps trying to be a governor, or something? It just doesn’t feel right. Once again, many thanks for conjuring up Sharpe and Harper particularly. Best wishes, Barbara Francis
